By-law Article 2 of Peretti Museum Foundation:

​Purpose (German):

Führung eines eigenen Museums mit Ausstellungen zu den Themenfeldern Paläontologie, Mineralogie und Edelsteinkunde; die eigene Bernsteinsammlung mit Einschlüssen von Lebensformen soll erhalten und der Öffentlichkeit sowie der Wissenschaft und Lehre zugänglich gemacht werden; die Stiftung hat zum Ziel, Mineralien und ausgestorbene Tierarten zu beschreiben und zu publizieren; Erstellung von Ausstellungen und Präsentationen sowie Dokumentarfilmen und Verfassung von Büchern; sie kann anderen Institutionen Objekte für Ausstellungen leihweise zur Verfügung stellen und wissenschaftliche Kooperationen eingehen; Erforschung und Aufbewahrung von Duplikaten des Minerals Perettiit-(Y) und Sicherstellung, dass das Mineral an Museen weltweit verteilt und in deren Sammlungen aufgenommen wird; sie kann Wissenschaftler sowie die Bevölkerung in den Abbaugebieten, wo die Objekte der Stiftung gefunden wurden, unterstützen.

The foundation is made for the purpose of opening its own museum with exhibitions for the topics of Paleontology, Mineralogy and Earth sciences. The own amber collection with inclusions of lifeforms shall be conserved for the public and science and shall be made available for researchers. The foundation has the aim, to describe minerals and extinct and non-extinct lifeforms and to publish. The foundation can make exhibitions or presentations, as well as documentary movies as well as publish its own books. The foundations can loan objects for exhibitions and can enter scientific research cooperations. The Foundation aims at research and curating objects of duplicates of the mineral Perettiite (Y) and makes sure, that this mineral is available at major museums worldwide through donations. The foundations can support the people and researchers in the mines where the objects have been found.

​By-law Article 14 of Peretti Museum Foundation (German)

  1. Eine vorzeitige Aufhebung der Stiftung darf nur aus den im Gesetz vorgesehenen Gründen (Art. 88 ZGB) und nur mit Zustimmung der Aufsichtsbehörde durch einstimmigen Beschluss des Stiftungsrates erfolgen.

  2. Im Auflösung der Stiftung ist ein allfälliges Restvermögen der Stiftung mit Zustimmung der zuständigen Behörde einem möglichst ähnlichen, gemeinnützigen Zweck oder einer gemeinnützigen steuerbefreiten Organisation mit möglichst ähnlicher Zwecksetzung zuzuweisen.

  3. Die stiftungseigene Sammlung (und insbesondere auch die publizierten neu entdeckten oder beschriebenen Tierarten in Fossilien) sollen dauerhaft der Wissenschaft erhalten bleiben.

  4. Ein Rückfall des Stiftungsvermögens an den Stifter ist ausgeschlossen.

By-law Article 14 of Peretti Museum Foundation (English, freely translated from German. Only German text is legally binding)

  1. ​A pre-mature default of the Foundation can only be made by reasons that the law of Switzerland permits (Art. 88 ZGB) and only with the consent of the Swiss regulatory office and with the unanimous consent of the foundation council

  2. In case of default, the remaining funds of the Foundation have to be donated with the consent of the regulatory office of Switzerland for a non-profit organization with a similar purpose.

  3. The collection and specifically the newly published and newly discovered holotypes of Fossils have to be permanently be secured for science.

  4. A recuperation and transfer to the foundation founder are excluded.
